A forensic anthropology career begins in the classroom. According to the criminal justice career blog, the early phase of an anthropology career arises within a “bachelor’s degree in anatomy, biology, chemistry, physiology or anthropology.” Forensic anthropologists must minimally have a master’s degree in physical biology or anthropology. Nevertheless, most successful anthropologists strive for a PHD in the field. All the years of attention applied to the field, makes it a laborious profession that is difficult to be completed without passion. The career requires at least six to ten years of educational training. The multiple years of intense post-high school educational preparation require students to be incredibly self-disciplined. Even after these laborious years of education put towards this career, acquiring a full time forensic anthropological position is shockingly rare.
